Jinghe's Top 5 Greatest Footballers of All Time
5. The "Baby-Faced Assassin" , Solskjær was renowned for his tendency to score goals late in the game, having earned wide acclaim for a remarkable habit of coming into matches late on as a substitute and scoring vital goals. Solskjær has a knack of sitting on the bench and studying the game without taking his eye off the action, often handing Manchester United a draw or win from the brink of defeat. United fans were eternally grateful for his winning goal in the 1999 champions league victory over Bayern Munich. For a player who spent most of the time as a subsitute for Man. Utd, his goal scoring ratio 261 goals from 453 matches for his previous clubs & Norway speaks of his phenomenal goal-scoring ability. The reason why he is not further up my list is because he plays for Manchester United...haha
3. A potential 2007 FIFA World Player Of the year, He put in a stellar performance in the UEFA Champions League where AC Milan reached the finals and subsequently won the cup in the recent two consecutive years. He's pace is simply unstoppable ; he has remarkable technique and has the knack to unlock the meanest of defences. He suffered a paralysis-inducing spine fracture at the age of 8 but made a full recovery and attributed it to God. Kaká is a member of the organization Athletes of Christ and has served as an Ambassador Against Hunger for the UN World Food Programme. His goal celebration consists of him pointing to the sky as a gesture of thanks to God. His favorite music is gospel music and his favorite book is the Bible! Such is a man who has unreserved trust and thanksgiving in God .
2. 2006 EPL Unsung Hero of the year and Portsmouth Fan's Player of the Season, Linvoy Primus is one of the most reliable and consistent full/Centre back for Portsmouth and is the main reason why Portsmouth won the first divison title in 2003 and secured their places for the following 3 seasons in EPL. What really touched me is his journey of finding God and his dedication to serve him; in an industry whereby footballers earned insane wages and easily succumbed to lead a promiscuous lifestyle. Primus has walked the Great Wall Of China in summer 2004 for the charity. He was also involved in supporting the Alpha Course, which are run all over the world, and are designed to explain Christian beliefs and promote discussion, and appeared in a cinema advertisement for the movement. In 2007, he released his autobiography, "Transformed" and also worked with the charity Faith in Football, which helps to show children positive experiences through involvement with football. 1. No prize for guessing correctly who is it. Call me biased, call me prejudiced but there is no Zidane, Henry and all the various Ronaldos. After all this is MY list! :P Alan Shearer IS the most prolific striker of all times and my childhood favourite for 15 years (and counting)! He was born and bred in Newcastle as a schoolboy and has returned to where his heart belongs after winning the EPL title with Blackburn (and most importantly he has rejected to join Manchester United). A man who dedicated 10 years of great service and is fiercely committed to his club despite ups & downs ; who remained single-minded to Newcastle where he could have enjoyed more silverware elsewhere ; a captain with a lion's heart and who leads the team by example ; a man who fights back from various career-threatening injuries , a man who is passionate about football and his family. What more could you ask for from this man? :)
